The people of ESA Country Ministries

ESA Regional Staff Workers

Perhaps the most important work of ESA is done through our Regional Staff Workers. These people work alongside existing churches to support, encourage, train, assist and equip rural people for rural ministry. If you are interested in working with ESA you may like to fill in the Expression of Interest Application form.

Bruce & Yvonne Mackintosh

Bruce has worked with ESA for many years in a variety of ministries from camp site management to teaching CRE, and directing ESA camps. Bruce teaches CRE in several Ballarat district primary schools and administers the ESA camps held in Western Victoria. Jenny Douglas

Jenny is ESA’s longest serving Field worker. She has a wealth of experience and is mainly involved in Children’s ministry, CRE, and Holiday clubs. She also assists with the Ladies’ Camps. Jenny works out of Colac. Ph: (03) 5232 1536

Peter & Wendy Geldart

Peter is heading up the Adventure Camping part of the work of ESA. Peter recently completed an outdoor education course. Wendy was a regional worker for ESA in Benalla. Peter and Wendy live in Alexandra and have two boys James and Benjamin. They are working at expanding the ESA adventure camping program and assisting churches with their own camps. Dean Richardson dean

Dean joined ESA part time in 2004 to continue the work of ESA in the Gippsland region. Dean and Sharon live in Traralgon, and have three children Tim, Joel & Jesse. Dean’s first involvement with ESA was the very first Lake Tyers Teen Camp and he hasn’t missed one since! In 2003 a team of ESA leaders started Junior Camp in Gippsland, and Dean is looking forward to continued involvement in that camp too. Joash Belousoff

Joash started working with ESA as an intern in 2005. He started working as a part time field worker in Buxton from mid way through 2008. Joash is invovled with Peter in the adventure camping side of ESA’s work. He is also invovled in the ESA school holiday camps and running activities or speaking on youth group camps. Joash is also looking forward to starting some new camps, such as a four wheel driving camp.





Gerard and Linda Abdooabdoo

Gerard joined ESA as a part time field worker in Gippsland in 2008 after several years of attending the Gippsland Junior camp as ‘camp dad’. As well as involvement in junior and teen camps Gerard is involved in Prison Ministry with Prison Fellowship Victoria. Lord willing he hopes to teach CRE in the future. Gerard and Linda live in Maffra and have three children Daniel, Samuel and Letitia.



pearseGeoff and Carrie Pearse

Geoff and Carrie Pearse are grain and sheep farmers who live 13 km east of Donald. Their part time involvement with ESA Ministries will be the promotion of the work in the North Western area of Victoria primarily in the development of the camping programs and other appropriate ministries within local communities. Geoff and Carrie are also involved in Foster Care and RE.





Volunteers

All ESA Camps are planned, organized and run by volunteers. If you would like to be a leader on an ESA camp, let us know. We would love to use your gifts in this very special ministry.

Partnership Committees

Field workers are primarily supported through Partnership Committees. Each committee is a group of volunteer people who commit their time, prayer and finances to support a particular field worker.

ESA Staff at Marysville

The Marysville Site is  the Administration centre of ESA.

ESA Board of Directors

The ESA Board has a wealth of camping, ministry and buisness experience between them. Most members have had a long involvement with ESA and a tougher understanding of its ministry and purpose. The Board is responsible for making policy decisions, employing staff and guiding the direction of ESA in its role of supporting country ministries.
